Before you get started, I would like to tell ya a couple of things first... Don't pay for your site, or for a program from some "Rich Jacksmack" who promises you a ton of money from his "secret" program. Here's the secret, IT'S A RIP-OFF.
It works a bit like this: You drop $40 clams down for the "secret," and a "can not fail," money making web page. This page comes along with a ton of e-books and info that you can sell. Now that you have it, you have to place it on the net, so the "Rich Jacksmack" tells you that you need a web site. All you have to do is sign up with "ABC Web Hosting".
With "ABC web hosting" all you have to do is register a web site name, that is about $25 bucks. After you pay for a page name, you need someone to host it for you. So you pay "ABC web hosting" to host a web page for you, and that is another $100 plus clams. Then, for just $20 bucks more, the "Rich Jacksmack" will be so kind as to hook-up your site with 'his' page. All that loot is now gone. About $200 smackeroos, and that is if you got off light.
"ABC web Hosting" gets a cut and so does the "Rich Jacksmack" along with whoever the heel was who sold you this plugged nickel.
That isn't the end though, many of the links in the package you bought from the "Rich Jacksmack" are nothing more than affiliate links with his code on them. So he tells you that to make his program work, "The best way to advertise your new site is with "XYZ Promo Co". Just click on the link to start the moolah flowing in." So you do, because you know that people can not buy this "great" program from you unless they see it first. That can run from $50 to several hundred. The "Rich Jacksmack" gets a cut of that too.
Every time you pay for a tool or promotion progam off of his list he makes a cut.
The funny part about it is, let's just say you did get this "Rich Jacksmacks'" program and you sell it for $40 bucks to some poor schmuck. Well the "Rich Jacksmack" is so kind to you that he let's you keep the lions share of $30 clams. He will only take a measly $10 bucks for you selling his program. How nice. You did all the work, so you should get the bigger purse. Thing is, the poor schmuck who bought it will do the same thing you did. Drop another $100 plus clams to get his site and promote it. Now who gets a cut of that? Sure as shootin, not you. But I bet the "Rich Jacksmack" got his. Ya, I'll put some scratch on that.
Even funnier, you could have gotten that site from a Affiliate promotion site for free. You would not get all the "cool" stuff that came with it, e-books and "best promotion tools", but it would not have been you getting taken to the cleaners either.
